Today a new network is launched, called Collective Community Action.

The current turmoil creates a golden opportunity to place communities at the heart of urban change. London needs to get serious about educating and empowering its citizens and built environment professionals to take part collectively in the way that places are made and managed. It starts with every candidate campaigning to be Mayor committing in their manifesto to produce a Mayoral Statement of Community Involvement.

CREATE

Creative Wick facilitated the ‘Create’ project from early concept stage through to delivery – found the site, obtained the permissions, ensured that local artists were commissioned and will be running a children’s after school graffiti workshop & staging an exhibition of prints from the project. The Arts Council also commissioned a short film that can be seen here….

Cause2Create is a platform that celebrates creativity for good causes. Cause2Create is a not-for-profit organisation which brings together creative people so they can use their talents and passions to affect real change. Founded by London-based creative agency HeyBigMan! Cause2Create is supported by Loughborough University London. Creative Wick is the local social enterprise partner.
