CriaAtivo Film School | Rio de Janeiro

Creative Wick, in partnership with Brazilian NGO Instituto Cultural Pólen, is delivering its first Olympic Legacy project in Rio de Janeiro, less than a year after the RIO2016 Olympics.

CriaAtivo Film School is a project funded by the Newton Fund Institutional Skills 2017 program from the British Council, intended to provide, during the course of a year, professional qualifications within the film industry to 165 young residents from territories/favelas affected by mega event led regeneration plans.

Creative Wick Film School

In April 2016, Creative Wick, Alias Hire, a Hackney Wick based film equipment hire company and Open Vizor, with the support of the Wick Award, delivered a free film school for 12 young people from Hackney Wick and Fish Island and the surrounding communities of East London.  The film school was based at Hub67.
