Pitching Masterclass

Pitching Masterclass led by marketing expert Rob Calder (Head of Marketing, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), ex Heineken, Magners, and Kopparberg).

Creative Wick and Upstarter organised a Pitching Masterclass workshop for HWFI creatives wanting to get better at pitching to people, companies and brands. The one hour workshop was for anyone who has to pitch for work/business. Attendees were taken through the essentials for framing an idea for a pitch, getting a message across and were given some great advice and tips. They then had the chance to run through their pitch at the Pitch Clinic and to try it out in the safety of a closed session, and receive feedback. Expert pitching reviews were given by Rob Calder and Gill Wildman from Upstarter.

Creative Wick facilitated a joint venture between renowned Hackney Wick based artist Martin Richman and Things Fashions, one of the UK’s largest specialist suppliers of printed garments, also based in Hackney Wick. The project demonstrated that mutual commercial benefit can be achieved when local businesses and artists work together.
