Wick Wednesday is an initiative led by the HWFI Cultural Interest Group and supported by Arts Council England that promotes a coordinated creative and cultural events program encouraging locals and visitors to experience a life less ordinary across a whole day in London’s last remaining hidden gem – Hackney Wick.

Currently a monthly newsletter promoting all the creative responses in covid times from local venues, businesses and people.

Creative Wick facilitated a joint venture between renowned Hackney Wick based artist Martin Richman and Things Fashions, one of the UK’s largest specialist suppliers of printed garments, also based in Hackney Wick. The project demonstrated that mutual commercial benefit can be achieved when local businesses and artists work together.
